Mother’s Love Affair
Listless breeze on open wings
A gentle glide through golden spring
Swallows sing of summer’s stake
Earth her womb wide-awake
Thunder hums on tiny wings
Lightning glistens like gilt strings
The heavens plummet toward the earth
Bathing droplets across her girth
Beneath the streams the Earth yields
Forceful flood finding furtive fields
Opened wide she drinks her fill
Soaking deep the heaven’s spill
